NORTH ISLAND / ROTORUA
HOT SPRINGS
Located 221km south east of Auckland, 92km south of Tauranga, 84km north East of Taupo,
Rotorua have approximately 50,000 people and is the sister city of Beppu, Kyushu in Japan.
Rotorua is one of the world's most famous active volcanic areas.
You can usually smell the sulphur there before you arrival.
Rotorua's many natural hot springs are good for neuralgia, rheumatism and general health.
The largest of these is called the Polynesian Pools.
There are a number of pools there with different temperatures so you can choose the best one
to release your pain and help you relax.
MAORI
Rotorua has a large population of Maori people and is therefore a good place to experience and enjoy Maori culture.
One of the most popular activities for tourists is the Maori concert and hangi.
Hangi means steamed and is the traditional method of Maori cooking.
It is very delicious and can be enjoyed at any major hotel in Rotorua.
LAKE ROTORUA
Lake Rotorua means second lake.
Lake Rotorua is one of most famous lake in Rotorua.
But there are a few other lakes in Rotorua.
Rotorua has many tours visiting to all those lakes and also
you may visit where has got natural springs with Rainbow Trout.
ATTRACTION
Rotorua is a beautiful place famous for its lakes filled with trout.
Other places to visit include the Agrodome where you can see a real New Zealand farm show complete
with a sheep dog show, milking, shearing.
Whakarewarewa is the most famous of allthe local thermal areas.
The geyser there ,Pohutu , is one of the biggest in the world and is very active.
you can also enjoy horse riding, a maze and the Rainbow Springs where there is an excellent display of rainbow trout
and kiwi birds.
